Yeah, WSA-80 I think. You got another one? I just can't kill this thing, and want a matched pair.

Just wondering. From what I gathered, Panasonic pulled out of the professional audio market in the United States a while back, so it's been a while since I saw one. They had interesting designs back then.

How does it sound?

Edit: If you're that interested in completing that pair, you can still buy some from overseas distributors. I know they're still pretty big in their home market of Japan.

I have called Community in the past after a diligent search for information on old product ended with no information seemingly available on the web and they have sent it to me.

They are very friendly, hopefully if folks don't abuse their kindness they will continue to talk to regular people like us. You know damn well they have better things to do! Please be polite.

Check their website first and if you don't find them, email them with a picture.

Barry.

It sounds very good, and seems to be indestructable. Most of its life it's been a vocal monitor behind my drum set, but it gets pulled out often for sessions like this- it's the "known-good" control speaker when firing up a new configuration of a tri-amped system.

I also carry it when I'm mixing a band from stage instead of out in the crowd, it's a great help to have my own monitor that sounds natural.

I'm not trying very hard to find another, but I'd snap one up if I ever saw it.

It was a while ago, but they sounded good. I had catalog years ago, I think the horns have a 500hz cut off, but I'm not 100% sure of that. But I'm sure that using them with a 800hz X-over would work very well.

That's my memory of them, too- we were crossing over at 800. I still haven't heard back from the owner of the horns, I'll post when I do.

Not very polite - BS yerself !
It was a holiday - some folks had important things ta do!

Did you contact the company like Barry recommended?
Seemed like the most reasonable approach for info ...

Yeah, this Community Heritage site sucks! Oh, wait...

All I got was that the ones that I was using were Community BRH90. Haven't had the time to get specs from the owner of them, when I saw him we were working (he was playing drums, I was running sound & recording the band), plus I've been sick as a dog all weekend. I'll probably hear from him some time tomorrow about re-coning some of his JBLs, but your :bs: hasn't exactly inspired me to put your request for specs at the top of my to-do list. Especially if you haven't contacted Community yourself...
