Ready to build a subwoofer or two from CURRENT JBL offerings
I'm sorry to have missed out on the very popular GT series subs many of you got in the old tent sale.I would like a current offering from JBL in a 12 incher that can play into the 20s up to about 150-180Hz. I know that's getting into localizing territory, but something close would do. I'd like to put them under a pair of Cabaret 4612OKs for my fun system.

Not SubWoofers but Woofers ( a suggestion )

Not a current product ( or that well known ) but:
There are/were a pair of 12" woofers on eBay ( le120H used in the L7, usually at a decent price IME ).
Obviously you'll need to bi-amp to be able to balance any 90db 12" woofer with something like the much more efficient 4612OK Cabaret.
FWIW, my own ad-hoc measurements shows this twelve to be much more linear than the ever popular 2214H.
:)
PS: they really can't be beat for being an handsome looking woofer
Earl, I had no idea the L7 "sub" would play so nicely, so high
Only problem - I don't want to dismantle my L7s. I have a Rolls subwoofer crossover to handle the low end. I modelled a box for the 120H (based on the evolved 128H mention in past threads) - and in 4 cu.ft., it will F3 at 34Hz and looks like it will cross well at 1200Hz, not that that's my plan...but nice driver. All the other suggestions are forehead-slap-worthy. Dayton, to name just one company. has some GREAT drivers for sub duty too.
