Ive been hunting for this for the last hours. I know its here but I cant seem to find it. Im looking for the voice coil length and gap depth for an e145.
If someone who knows right where to look...
Didn’t he pass away. I’m pretty sure about that.
Damn Skippy, this is my bible.
I saw cracks on the inside of my 2440 phrams. Other then that I had no warning besides my eyes. The cracks look like scratches on the inside of the diaphragms. But if you look at them under...
If I remember correctly the brake fluid trick is for lansaloy surrounds. Plus only dot 4 and 5 fluid are silicone. Dot 3 is not.
I don't see how the surrounds on a 2226 would stiffen over time...
Your best bet is great plains audio in Oklahoma unfortunately. There the only source for genuine parts. The only other issue is I think the business is circling the drain.

Hmm, thanks for that Earl. I was told it was acetic acid. And I have smelled it in some cans. Now I see its acetate compounds. Which are pretty easily broken down. Smells like acetic too.
Here in...
Just don't keep mek around on the shelf for many years. It turns into acetic acid with time.

Aren't 2243's a rare bird? I've never even seen on. But you can make a 2245 from a 2240 frame, and those are cheap, at least in the USA. Can't say about other parts of the world.

I never understood the lowther craze. I'm not knocking them though since I've never heard them. Just seems a lot to ask from such a tiny driver. Plus there crazy expensive you know.
That quad...
You might ha e 150 vdc from rail to rail. But as other mentioned there more then likely browser resistors o. The rails. If the unit hasn't been powered up in a few day your going to be fine....
Touche.
Except it could make the high prices go ever higher, lol.
Sorry if I came off sounding like a beer snob Ed, I'm not. I just believe those famous words of Ben Franklin " beer is proof that god...
Lee that reply post to mine is hilarious. I guess I give a tiny bit more credit to some hipsters as opposed to the yuppies of the 80's. Not much though.
But knocking the microbrews is hitting...
I don't necessarily think that's correct. Yuppieism has more to do with income status. Hipsters you can find in all income brackets. I call my brother a yuppie quite often. But he does have kids now...
I'm 6 foot 2 and played the upright bass for 7 years and can honestly say there's no way 1 person could play that. There would have to be one with a bow and one on the finger board. Still neat...
Dude come on, we get it. You sell the foam. I think we got it the first 2 times you listed it here.
let it die. Or better yet create a thread in the marketplace:eek:.
I know its been mentioned on here, a way to restore them. I recall it involved heating the spider up with hot air, I think. But it seems to me the only real way is to recone the driver.
I think...
I would tend to agree with you. Is the k the only writing on the back of the cone? If that's it then I doubt its a jbl cone kit. There usually a grease pencil date and then a stenciled number which I...
Ya to be honest that seems a little peculiar. I've never seen that. But I'm no jbl expert. Because to be honest using character punches on cast iron is a bad idea. Its very brittle and using punches...
Have you done any online research to see if you've got any local reconers? If the shop has a magnetizer then they'll have a gauss meter. At least they should.

Its a legit conversion so to say. The d130 and the d and k 140 where pretty much the same frame and magnet. Some cosmetic differences from the d to k but that was it. The only issue is very old...
