The 2446 diaphragms! I dare to ask, why would you change?
Hi,
Well two weeks ago I did a change in my setup. Running 2360a 02446 as mid I was originally using Beyma TPL150h without the horn (my taste). Even though this is an excellent driver I was...
I dont know how the f... to remove the last figure. It's not in the edit text when editing, hmmm ghost....
Hi Dr.db,
Yes, you where right that the 2240 will have a "slow" roll off towards the low end in this particular 4642 enclosure. The below simulated response of the frequency range is close to my...
I fully agree with you. I use two 2240H in a 4642a enclosure for "hifi" use in my living room (my "sattelite" is 4530/2226, 2360a/2445, Beyma TPL150, but that's another story) and finde it very...
Yes I know :-)
But I intend to use LR12dB and @350Hz the signal is already 6dB down. Compared to a 12dB butt @ 500Hz as recommanded the level is down 7,7dB @ 350Hz so I dont think I will run into...
Hi Grumpy,
Know this thread is old but in my case I'm close to try this horn out. One thing makes me wonder. In this fine white paper for kbl2360a vs jbl2360b is several curves shown.
Do...
Very nice speaker set-up! I'm also using the 4530 (E140 + 2240 sub's) in my living room and when measuring at the listening position I'm not in trouble with the inherent dip from rear loading. I...
Hi,
Very nice set-up you got!!! Have you put any damping material in the compression chamber just on the back side of the E-130?
I'm using the 4530 with a old 2220a with the original...
Hi. Yes this thread is old. I use the 4530 with k145 in a corner but seem to lack the response to my mid horn (2350 @ 600Hz). I'm cutting at 68Hz, 24dB and a 4642 with 2240 handle the low.
This...
It refers to the electrical part of the speaker model (which also consist of a mechanical part to).
:D Yep!
I have a measurement which I did in the anechoic chamber for the 2445/2328/2350 from 300Hz to 20kHz (my former work). This measurement is the "backbone" in my filtering process :)

I'm using my pro JBL gear for hifi pleasure and is tweaking it as my hobby. :)
So, from my experience, small deviations is audible and I find the tweaking nessecary. Maybe the reason for the,...
You can say so, but if your running the crossover figures in a program (LTspiceIV), then the passband will harm depending upon the figure your choose for the Le.
For test I have choosen the Le to...
I appreciate your help but it's not mentioned there!!! I also have looked in the technical letters concerning the compression drivers, it seems that JBL do not care about this figure?

Hi,
I have searched the net for info regarding the Le value of the JBL2445J driver. Have'nt had any succes .

Hey,
Recently I got the JBL2402 to figure out how this works compared to my 2405H (ferrite).
But as I always want to have, for my JBL setup, is the specifications. So does somebody have a...
Hello,
I have a JBL4642a box in which I have installed two K151. It was just to see if this arrangment could work. It does very fine and the movement is even not notible so I think I will recone...
Hi Joe,
Nice to hear, that someone else is planning to use the 2350's :)
I'm using the horn with the 2445J (PL) driver. I have been using 2380 (the first, and also the worst sound due to no...
Hi reVintage, Johnny
Thanks for your effort and posting. 14 days after my thread was started, I did a trip to Antwerpen to pick up two 2350 horns, which are, as you can see on my little icon,...
Hi again,
Sorry if this has been discussed in a previous thread.
Has anyone recognize that when transforming from f.ex. an 2404H to an 2405H the phase plug has a different diameter?
This...
Ahh, maybe I can answer it myself. When disassembling the unit the stamp on the "golden colured" diaphragme indicated 2405. So maybe the letter -L indicate light?

Hello folks,
Just a quick one. Can one of you tell me what the numbering of my 2404H does mean? I got an offer on the 2405H version, but without the diaphragme. Can I use the one from my 2404H to...
