I was just checking the 4425 spec and noticed they are 'only' 91dB so the 4429 at 90dB are essentially the same. I'd always assumed the 4425 was a bit more efficient.
Also, I noticed the JBL spec...
Yes, I suspect the same. Shame I have no way of listening to them but if the bottom end is typical JBL then I'm sure they are for me.
I'm chasing a discounted pair here in the UK but just waiting...
Mine was Melbourne hifi show in the mid 80's.
Intersound had their Everest DD55000 setup in one of the small hotel rooms. Insane volume. I was a teenager and didn't really know what I was...
Yeah, maybe I should just stick with the 120's...
I've a dealer here in UK ready to give me a decent price on the 4429's (still not cheap!).
I do tend to give the 120ti's a good thrashing and...
Hi All,
I haven't been here for years...
Anyway, the devil got to me after owner nice JBL gear and I have been using active Genelec 8351 monitors in my home studio for a few years.
I was...
Yes, have good links with big shifter of Harmon gear hear so will price it all up. Sounds a bit complicated though really and my rough hearing would probably be just as happy with SRX835p's...
I am just trawling through this thread and basically need to know if the M2 can be sourced in the UK and how much...
Also, is their a combined amp and processor (fanless) option to power them?
Interesting thread.
I've been looking at the SRX835p for home use in large living room. They seem a good middle ground between the PRX700 series and the VP series. I can get them at cost from...
Yes it does.
But the quality using Bluetooth is amazing as well. Bluetooth has come a long way in terms of bandwidth.
Just buy one from Richer Sounds online for £209 and it will be there in 3...
Yes, I would have expected high intermodulation distortion but this thing just sounds good. Midrange stays clear at high bass excursion. Another thing is the on and off axis response is very...
I just purchased one of these for £200 and to say I'm impressed is an understatement.
Does anyone here know how they managed to get that bottom end out of two 3.5" drivers? I've measured useful...
PG is releasing a neat 25th anniversary edition of SO
http://petergabriel.com/so25/
One of the discs is called "So DNA" and has early versions of the final tracks and some unreleased heard...
I was hoping you might have heard them first hand?
Hi Cooky,
I have no idea what the problem is but how do you find the 9800 sound. I have never heard them but hope to own a pair one day???
How much did they sell for then?
Alot of bands like to 'hide' behind the sound of a loud PA with way too much sub.
I think alot of the issue is with the crazy amount of digital processing that is done before anything actually...
Get rid of the wife!! :)
Hi tech gurus,
What is ther effect of stuffing the port on 250Ti's in terms of frequency response?
Has anyone else done this to tame ther low-end in a 'boomy' room. Mine are in a large room...
I did a 250Ti LE14H-3 change around 2008/2009.
I recallt hat when I ordered the drivers I ordered the bolts that also fitten thme to the baffle of the Array 1400. I started a thread about it on...
Hi, pm me your email address and I will send the original hi-res photos..
You could have done a wee tidy up Rich :p
Big differences sonically between the Driverack PA and 260 apparently. Save up for the 260...
I listen to my 250Ti's at low to medium mostly.
They have that characteristic that only big speakers can of just coasting along. They still have good scale and weight to the sound at low volumes...
I sold a pair of L250's as nice as those and the buyer loves them.
Still have the 250Ti's though.
