I have been refoaming woofers as a side hobby for 17 years. Evidently do exceptional work, as all my business is from referrals and a Craigslist ad. Been dealing with Rick since the start. Did he say...
Looks like a good start on the refoam! I just did two pairs, one had nice old rock hard Lansaloy surrounds. What a pain
Woops, missed that...
Also known as Leading Link forks?
Is that what you use for the bottom of your 4345's?
I am confused. Would they not sound better with the tweeters on the outside like the 43XX?
4313B and Giskard are the same person
The 4412-without the "A" is the factory walnut veneered model. I love mine!
Those are currently for sale on our Marketplace
Also in Ohio, last month went from Cincinnati to Columbus about 120 miles to pick up a pair on 4312's
If you want to stay with a vintage power amp from McIntosh, the MC2200 is rated at 200WPC, as well as the version with the classic blue meters the MC 2205. Next up the line is the MC2250 and MC2255...
That's what I needed. Thank You!
Having trouble with my computer and/or the Links section. Need the numbers for all the components in the L220 and L220A.
Thanks for the help!
That pre amp is very rare, like 270 made between 1960-1965. Good working condition you are right on the money at $5300. Don't power it up until a good tech can check it out, could cause some...
Without pictures or history or current condition, perhaps $500-$1000
How do they sound? Do they sound like they need a $70 tune up?
Also, being a full range speaker, adding a tweeter would be a bad thing. You would need different woofers and a custom crossover as well as tweeters. Very cool either way!
I would recommend Rick Cobb:

You will need exact diameter of the cone, less the old surround
Well first thing to do is refoam those. woofers. My guess is that the original looking surrounds just do not work as designed. Actually, I am certain of it!
Here is what I would use:

Thanks so much. Ordered today. Only like $75 more than a Mackenzie kit, and Ken made them? No brainer
I have a pair of D 130's that need recones. Where can I get a good kit since JBL's are no longer made?
Just way cool
I am 64.5, still ride and sell guess what brand motorcycles, have a hot rodded Miata for the daily driver [year round here in SW Ohio with Blizzaks], member here since about the beginning. Hows this...
