I think so. It's a wonderful woofer anyway :)

Original cone kits have a coated foam.
Everything else is -refoamed- or -not original- or -...whatever people do with woofers-.
Congrats DingDing!
Very impressive work till now. Nice to see these Speakers back in action.
Dear Greg!
it reads like a joke. Normal people can't understand this decision. Maybe the modern and mostly completely dumb managers fresh out of their elite university's can. Sure they can. Their...
The original upper lip is a bit angled to avoid interference with the supertweeter.
Well as the supertweeter kicks in at around 19kHz I hear no problems with my version where the upper lip is just...
As Ralf is building a 4355 we need 2235 woofers and so we use the massring.
You are so right. In Germany sure NOT!
Come on boys!
.... Martin was faster but ....
"2235" stands for C8R2235 (Original of course). We do not make compromise here ;)
"A" stands for Alnico core, thus the need for re-magnetize. In...
Hi Widget!
No, sure not...
There is only one next project: TAD Ref 1
But you know the problem :crying:
Yes, of course!
I don't think these will ever come. Use an Radian 475PB-Be (with 1,75" Beryllium diaphragm). VERY good and not expensive.
Radian sells a (Truextent) Beryllium...
The main change was the fixation of the vc leads and some corrections to the attachement of the diaphragm to the vc.
Older diaphragms could have issues with rub/centering.
The surround is not...
Ex JBL engineer Dean Rivera designed "new" 2214, 2235 and 2245 woofers.

That is really confusing then. Contact me again if you need further help.
If there is a 4" bolt circle on the adapeter plates it was very likely made for a driver with a 4" bolt circle (e.g. Radian 951PB 1,4" exit). Makes sense, or not?
We sell lasered adaper plates for...
It is the point.
The improvements you try to get occur in an area where Ti/AL dias do no longer work (show piston behavior).
That might be the reason why nobody cared much about it till now.
...
A regular (non Be) 4" diaphragm shows breakup modes looong before a reduction of dome to phase plug distance would have any effect.
In other words:
4" Ti or Al diaphragms do not have real UHF...
You could just sell the pcb's for the start.
Some of us would be able to work with it.
Oh, and a sketch of schematic for it.
That would be
DAMN DAMN
A discrete active crossover... Wow, great and simply stunning work!
THAT sense for detail makes me speechless! :spchless:
This baffle blue research is simply amazing.

The 4343 cards are 12dB cards. You have 18dB cards.
You can build a 12dB card from a 18db card (I did it) but that isn't easy !!!
I'm sure some members will sell you a pair of 12dB pcb's or even...
Cool
Finally some compedition on Everest territory. Very nice work Herve.
Think about truextent diaphragms :hmm:
I recommend using charge coupled crossovers made with new components.
Congrats to this wonderful project!
Try to PM member saeman.
He will help you for sure.
Hi Forum Friends
Radian started production of the 475PB with Truextent Beryllium Diaphragm.
It's an excellent 1 inch driver with 1,75 inch diaphragm.
I just received 4 units and they...
