Love the internal bracing!!!
How big is the port?
How big does a port need to be before it becomes just a big hole?
OUTSTANDING!!!!
Keep showing pictures of your work!

I'm powering my EIGHT JBL 2242,s with two CREST 8001,s. SERIOUS SOLID and HARD hitting low end. Tons of power, and can run for days full tilt boogie, without getting fatigued sounding.
Clear, clean, and DEEP, REALLY TOUGH,and BALLSY sounding.
Mat, nice cabinets, they look good! I chose 35hz as the tuning, lower, doedsnt have enough kick, higher at 40hz too shallow sounding, and too much kick, 35hz was best balance of deep sub bass, and kick with good efficiency.
JBL 2242 is the ultimate 18in subwoofer for pro and high level reproduction!

Bo/Scott;
Killer 18's and other such devices; There is a difference between hearing a driver and working a driver...........
Most people just "hear" their drivers, but some of ya'll know what it means to work them.
In fact, I think of them like equipment on a job site; X amount of material (air) gets moved properly and the "machine" makes you $.......................
Yeah, but, electrically, some amps are better at heavy duty use usually large power supplies make it happen.
Then, mutual coupling and clustering of cabs, make me have to "work" the drivers less hard, while still getting MUCHO HIGH SPL!
I tried both the Crown Macro Tech 3600 and Crest 8001, the Crest has more solidity and a firmer harder, more visceral thump, and good low end definition. The Crown sounds great, slightly mushy on the extreme deep LF, but, after a few hours, 3 or 4, it fizzles. The Crest just keeps on goin.......
But, two cabs per center stacks, 4 2242,s per location, works REALLY WELL, sub bass is HUGE! And DEEP, CLEAR and CLEAN.
The MACHINE has to work 12 to 14 hrs a day in summer season, so, total reliabilty and sonic performance are critical requirements for me.

My idea was to port them to 25 hz and use them at home. My ports are 6" not 8", my fault .
