I suggest issues August 1981 and March 1979 (you'll have to fix a typo in the '79 clicked-on URL, or you'll get 1978) for UREI monitor fans.

The 1981 issue also has a fair amount of good general information regarding speakers/measurements (and has some nostalgic advertisements)

I also suggest not relying on a browser plug-in to view the PDF files...for me, they were unreadable until I opened them in adobe reader, as a separate application.

Thanks Grumpy... what a trip down memory lane!

Interestingly, using my personal Mac with a couple of generations old OSX Looks like hell in Safari, but my work Mac with a newer OSX the download via Safari looks pretty good and on the same computer with Chrome it looks even better.

The January '79 says that John Eargle contributed an article on Studio Monitors for the February issue. Now we just need to find that issue...
