Anybody use this driver horn combo with dual 15's that can share any info on crossover points etc. Thanks
I use this combo with 2245 woofers and 2204 bass-mids. My system is far from ready - I'm still experimenting and tweaking. As of now, my crossover for the 2360/2445J is passive 4th order at 600 Hz.
JBL crossed at 500 Hz in the 4675 system. Info here: http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/The...ries/4675A.pdf
I've had the 4675s with the 3160 crossover. It is important to note that the horns require the equalization network, enabled by S1 in the schematic of the 3160, to work properly.
You can approximate this equalization with the Behringer CX3400's CD switch, if you choose to bi-amp the system. In many ways, this can be easier since you don't have to try to find a set of 3160s or to build out a set from parts.
The biggest problem I had, of course, is that the horns are _so_ huge that you really need to have a 2-car garage where the systems are mounted in each doorway then set up your listening/party area out on your driveway. NAF and WAF (Neighbor/Wife) will be an issue unless you have a very large basement with tall ceilings.

Not as much as you might think. These curves are from a JBL552 crossover. The blue line is flat, the yellow line is the switched on compensation curve written specifically for the 2360.It is important to note that the horns require the equalization network, enabled by S1 in the schematic of the 3160, to work properly.

That is true, however look at the amount of EQ correction it actually takes to get there. Below is a measurment of two seperate crossovers, the white line is the curve pulled from the M552, the yellow line is from a DBX in which I recreated the curve.that is a +20dB boost between 1khz and 20khz! pos
The display shot shows the actual amount of cut/boost required. The max cut is 4.5dB, the max boost is 3.0dB. Not as heavy handed as one might expect.
I have not used that woofer but I have used the 2445H and it can play well to 500hz. If this driver has any short commings it is in the UHF.
[QUOTE=sbjacob;270460]This is the crossover I will use on the
sbjacob, how is it going? were you able to finish and listen to the crossover? ....
