Hi L/15/T
- I'd suggest getting the lower impedance (H) diaphragms for use with those 2344s.
- You need those lower impedances ( in the UHF range ) to pull the needed voltage from the amplifier / to have the best chance / at balancing the UHF levels to the midband frequencies of the 2206H woofer .
- FWIW ( as a learning exercise ) : - Choose the Horn Section portion of the passive for the 4430 ;
& Rework the values - to support the higher impedance of the "J" diaphragm.
(i) Meaning; you rescale the Capacitors ( down in uf size )
(ii) and rescale the value of the inductors ( up in mH size )
(iii) and replace the 8 ohm Lpad with a 16 ohm,
(iv) and double the "R" values for all the resistors that follow the Lpad ,
- For this exercise; leave out the 30 ohm pot. and the inline inductor ( L1 ) from the UHF circuit .
-This exercise will demonstrate why the extra 3db (of UHF) that the "H" diaphragm pulls ( from the amp ) is important for obtaining good UHF response in all passive networks that service CD horns.
