    MTM's and mutual coupling

Just wondering if you get the same 6db gain as with woofers?? I want to try a pair of 115h-1 at 87Db with the L200T3 crossovers set up for 93db. What do you think?? Figure it could make a fun MTM with the 115's sealed and a woofer in at 300Hz like the XPL'S.

I would use 3rd order filters with tht MTM, they seem to give better polar response. JBL padded woofers with 20-30 ohm shunts across woffers after the crossover network, you could try the same thing. Bringing the total impedance sown a bit with a resistor shunt would also provide a better match for the lower impedance of the MTM setup.Use two 40 ohm 10 wat resistors in parallel across the woofer.

Depends on how close they are.
They will couple when they are less than about a quarter wave apart.

    Acoustic coupling

I once asked the same question and got an excellent reply: http://audioheritage.org/vbulletin/s...ustic+coupling
