This is the thread for feedback on the LHS registry.

We plan to open for individual member accounts into the registry. This will give each member access to edit their own records.

Yes all my parts are there. I just registred my 4412, and will do so for all the other speakers and parts I have. The registration form is really neat! I will also try to add photos soon.
The registry is now updated:
- Registrations with pictures are now marked with a paper clip
- By country view is added.

OK, help me out here- where is this registry?
Thanks,
je
EDIT: found it, thanks...
LHS registry
We have now completely reworked the LHS registry. The new LHS registry is available for forum members via WEB-interface.
URL: http://www.prpr.no/lhs
Username: LHS
Password: lhs2007
The develpment goals for the new version of the registry was:
Most of the features are implemented.
- web-based
- member selfservice functions
- several ways of breaking down the data
- searchable
- easy to maintain
- pictures
- different access levels
OK, some feedback:
Nice job, thanks as always for the dedication to the task.
It would be easier if a user could log in once, then owner/location would auto-populate.
Is there any concern that anyone now viewing the thread and having the main password could add incorrect/random info to the registry? Is it backed up at time intervals, so it could be returned to a past state if a problem arises?
How do you edit an existing registry? Many of mine are in, but with incomplete info. I would think this should be a unique-password scenario, so correct info couldn't be disturbed by others.
Where did dates on my gear come from? I didn't provide them, were they estimates?
I uploaded pics, where/how do they show up? Look at the 2135 serial # 4278.
A fabrication date of "Jan /" was also automatically assigned to the 2135 above.
My E140 serial # 29468 didn't show up after registering.
More later...thanks again.

Thanks John for your feedback....that's what we need.
To your points:
- the registry isn't implemented at this time in the forums site....it's a link to yggdrasil's servers. Therefore this is only possible when it's linked....but a good idea.
- Any creation of registry stuff goes to the approval store and after it is edited (if necessary) it can be seen. Pls take a look for the remark under point 3 in the information.
- Some dates are added while seeing the drivers in a row with others, where we know the date. (interpolation)
- we work at this time with further tools.
regards
HP
PS: your entries were ok and now approved.

Thanks-
Now it looks like there's two entries for my 2135, by the way.
Is there any way to go back in & edit or add info to an existing registry? Pictures, sales, details, etc?
Thanks,
je
I'll try to address the rest of the questions John:
Q: It would be easier if a user could log in once, then owner/location would auto-populate.
A: See Post #2
Q:Is there any concern that anyone now viewing the thread and having the main password could add incorrect/random info to the registry?
A: All new registrations is checked by a dbAdmin before they are submitted to the registry
Q: Is it backed up at time intervals, so it could be returned to a past state if a problem arises?
A: Yes
Q: How do you edit an existing registry? Many of mine are in, but with incomplete info. I would think this should be a unique-password scenario, so correct info couldn't be disturbed by others.
A: See Post #2
Q: A fabrication date of "Jan /" was also automatically assigned to the 2135 above.
A: This is due to a bug. It was fixed last week.

Thanks, I look forward to the upgrades & evolutions as they come. One thought is that all of my gear that was entered in originally (not by me) might not be editable by me...we'll see how that works out- obviously efficiency is a goal, you don't want to double the data-entry labor if it can be avoided.
By the way, the "Jan /" bug happened to me today.

A: The goal is to be able to edit your own entries independent of who entered them in the first place.
Q: By the way, the "Jan /" bug happened to me today.
A: Oooops... I'll look into it again.

Hi John,
I edited your double entry.
That's what we are here for.
There aren't that much entries to edit.
let's wait what Johnny (yggdrasil) can change.
To rs237: Jürgen du must warten, bis die Einträge auf formale Übereinstimmung geprüft sind, dann erst werden diese angezeigt.
