It was a pair of Lancer 99's that got me into JBL many moons ago. I was about 15 or 16, and a friend's dad had a pair. I was using some Dynaco A-25's and AR-2AX's at the time, and I was ruined by the Lancers! It took me couple of years but I finally bought a pair of L100's, and the rest is history!

My first JBL's were L150A's, circa 1981.
I've only gotten rid of one pair: My L100's, in 1982 when I bought my L220's. And I still wish I hadn't let go of them. BUT...I was fortunate enough just recently to hook up with the fellow I sold the L100's to, and he sold me back the L100 stands that I let him have in '82, I made new front-to rear arms for them, 2-1/2" shorter, so they would look right to use them with my 4313B's. He sold me the stands back for $25!! Those classic stands have gone for a ton on eBay!Originally Posted by JBL Dog

Any chance you could take measurements of the stand parts so a person could make a set? They don't look like rocket science to make and, you are right, originals cost a bundle.Originally Posted by pmakres1

There are those who say there are higher stands that work better, but I have found that these do improve the imaging of my 4313B's. It's the upward angle that does it. I found some minor discrepancies in the dimensions shown here vs. the actual stands I have, but pretty close. Also, the notch depth is missing from this illustration, the depth is 1" in all cases. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!
Peter
P.S. The thread shows the arms as being 2-1/16"wide. My stand's arms measure an even 2".

Hi everybody.
When I was in High School I had a pair of L-26 that I loved. I sold them to a friend 5 years ago. I now have:
1 Pair of Lancer 44 (LE8T reconed) passive radiator not reconed.
1. Pair S7 in Olympus C50 cabinets
That old time 1960's JBL sound, I love it!
