    Garage Tunes

What ya got in your garage for tunes?

It's nowhere near done and still under construction, but here's mine:

And just picked up four of these Peavey MB1 Mid-Bass Horns:

All I need is one more JBL 2225, another amp, and a new mixer.

    And some lights..................

    ARGH.............

After seeing your setup I would be too embarrassed to show you mine.

    That system trumps everything

    Rock and Roll............

And two more JBL 4311's that are in the opposite corners of the room.

In case you're wondering........ the Altec horn is just laying there in front of the TV. Still organizing, wiring, and cleaning out all the junk. This is what came out of the garage 1 year ago to make room for the P.A. that I've had stored at my buddy's shop. For a while, I did have two of the Altec 210's underneath the track. Might as well use the space for something.......

At the time it was the largest privately owned slot car track in the world. 240' long. 4 lane. It was 38' long and sat on seven 4x8 tables. You could race 1/24th or 1/32nd scale. Digital timing accurate to .001 sec. Sold it to a guy that shipped it to Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

Wish I would have kept it. Would have been cool to race on with the P.A.

    I need a bigger garage...............

We do tunes a little differently in my garage.

And while we don't have slot cars, we do have about 550 of G-scale railroad, complete with active volcanos, in our front yard. I run five trains simultaneously that automatically stop and wait for each other at crossings using a propriatary system that I conceived, designed, and built.

    Trains?

Nice job w/ the trains. I can appreciate all the effort that goes into
    a project like that.

    Thanks.

The engines actually have digital sound card (1 watt) and the sounds are recorded from the prototypes onto chip. If I could just figure out how to squeeze a 2235 into a 3.75" width.

So what kind of tunes have you got in the garage? You've got to have something to listen to when you're working on stuff.............

I'm starting to wonder just how much I'm pounding my neighbors when
I crank it up. Of course, it's not intentional...........it just gets away from
me sometimes...... Have you guys had a lot of problems w/ complaints? Guess it depends on where you live and the distance to your nearest neighbor. To this day, luckily, I have not had a single problem with being too loud. That could change at any moment tho. Most of the lots here are 110' by 220'.

Wait 'till I stick a drum kit and a Marshall half-stack in there.

    That should do it.

    Then they will hate me............

    No speakers???

No speakers in the garage ?

    Oh, the humanity...................

I spend so much time wrenching on my other hobbies, I'd pretty much die w/o tunes out there.

Opels? Dodges? AMC??? ................. I miss my truck.

It had a CD, 3 amps and 12 speakers in it. For air conditioning you just
cranked out the windshield. At 80 mph it was unreal...............
Put 31,500 miles on it in 15 months. Bought it in St. Louis, Missouri and drove it home to Michigan. Had a 302 / C4 / 9" .

Best car (or truck) I've ever owned by far.

    Looking for a '33 Ford 2-door sedan.

Time to get out some ZZ Top ............

    JBL

Which garage? I can tell you one thing........... there's a ton of equipment that says JBL on it. Lots of Marshall amps too. Lots. Showco does a lot of his sound systems I think. He had about 20 of the Vertec subs at one concert and they almost knocked me down.
