Voltage Drive of 5235 Card

I have 2 5235 frequency cards in front of me.
They read "1200Hz FFBREQ"
Does anybody know the voltage drive of these?

thanks for it. Do you also have the voltage drive of the 52-5130 to compare? Does it make sense to drive the 2344/2426J with the 51-5334? The curve does not look so bad for it.

The yellow line represents the active 6 dB/octave high pass of the 52-5130. The blue line includes the passive 20 uF series capacitor. I should probably run the entire summed voltage drive of the complete high pass circuit at some point.

This afternoon I was at Ralfs place and discussed all this.
With the 1200Hz FFBREQ cards he drives his 2426/2344 combo (see his avatar). The 4430 is not finished yet. So we discussed that the 1200Hz FFBREQ provides the HF EQ he needs when he drives the 2436/2344 fully active without any passive EQ.

Here's the full voltage drive of the bi-amped 4430 circuit (52-5130 and 3134) versus the 51-5334 card.

I believe I've posted the ranges for the L-Pad and potentiometer in the 4430 elsewhere on the forum. The yellow curve here is with both the L-Pad and potentiometer set at minimum resistance. Adjusting the L-Pad and the potentiometer will bring up the yellow curve in the 2 kHz region and/or flatten it above the 10 kHz region. Something like that anyway...

I have tried the BiRadial 2380 compensation using an M553 on the 2344 and you really need the 4430/4435 network to get the most out of it. If you look at the 4430/35 when you biamp them the passive compensation is still very much part of the whole system. The Biradial curves will work but not as well as the passive network. Above 10K you loose to much.

You're right Rob. The 4430 and 4435 are quite intricately designed. I've been using them since 1982. All I'm doing is providing a few voltage drive curves. Whatever anyone wants to do with it all I couldn't care less. Swap drivers, swap filters, swap underwear. Who cares

We (Ralf and me) did not play around with a 4430 and not with a 4435! We played around with his
2226 in 4530 300 Hz active, flat
2206 300/1200 Hz active, flat
2426 on 2344 1200 Hz active, 2380EQ
2405 passive 8 kHz
Combo (see his avatar)

We were discussing why the 1200 Hz with EQ sounds better than the 1200 Hz flat card. No it's clear.
