JBL 1971 Product Lineup
© Harman International, Courtesy Paul Barello

This section is devoted to profiling the products developed by the three firms for which James B. Lansing was associated. The approach is to cover the pivotal the products that defined the heritage and legacy of the man. Each profile documents the development history, product characteristics and market impact.

This section is broken down by firm. The Lansing Manufacturing chapter covers the two most influential products they ever produced - the Shearer Horn and the Iconic. The Altec Lansing chapter covers the two major systems that had direct involvement by Jim Lansing - the Duplex and Voice of the Theatre. Finally, the JBL chapter is quite comprehensive, covering quite a number of seminal products over the 50 year plus span of that company's existence.
